Must, MUST Listen | Tim Mantoani Interview

No wonder Tim’s photography is so stunning, the mind that he gets all his ideas from is filled with amazing thoughts and insights.  I did not plan on listening to this entire one and a half hour interview with Photoshelter but it was filled with so many thoughts and ideas I couldn’t help it.  I came away from it feeling inspired and motivated to pursue this passion of mine with very pure intentions.  Not to get money, not to get respected, or any of that.  Just because I love it.  Thanks Tim and aphotoeditor for pointing this out.

British Columbia | Canada

Headed up to Pemberton, Canada on Friday to photograph a wedding that was taking place on Saturday.  I spent the days on either side enjoying the amazing surroundings with Bridget.  A couple of photos.

Another New Gallery | Environment

environment - The totality of circumstances surrounding an organism or group of organisms, especially: The combination of external physical conditions that affect and influence the growth, development, and survival of organisms

The other project I have been working on and wanting to add to my website are the images I have taken while out on adventures/experiences that do not have any people, skiers or climbers in it.  Strictly photos of the surroundings that lure me and others in.  Click HERE to have a look.

New Website Gallery | People

Environs – the area in which something exists or lives.   Portrait – any likeness of a person, in any medium.

I have spent some time in the last week going through some photos that have been taken over the course of the last couple years.  My goal when sorting through these images was to look for candid pictures of people in the environment they thrive in.  I guess you could call it “Environs Portraiture”?  After narrowing it down and spending some time in photoshop, there is now a new gallery up on the website dubbed “People”.  Click HERE to see it.

This one has been one the back burner for quite a long while, but it is great to see it out.  This little piece also happens to be the first bit of writing I have ever had published.  It was a late fall trip with Wesley McCain which turned out to be absolutely gorgeous and filled with rich fall colors and crisp nights.  As a funny side note we actually ended up getting off route and onto Der Sportsman for a while, we couldn’t resist this perfect corner crack, it just lured us in.  None the less, an amazing climb in an even more amazing setting.  A must, must do.
