The season is slowly coming upon us in the NW where spring corn snow begins to show up, the snowpack stabilizes and the sky is blue for more than one day. The Cascades are a great place this time of year and due to such a deep snowpack (Baker Ski Area had 857 inches of snow this winter) it should be good around here for a few more months. Yesterday I went out with friends Drew Tabke and Adam Roberts up and around the Twin Sisters Range. Below are a few pics.

oh how I miss Bellingham!
Love that fisheye view when you’ve almost topped out.
Did you ride your bikes back down? No pics of that!?
Yeah we rode back down…got plenty of shots of skis/bikes on the way up…at that point we had our minds set on Potato Burritos and Margs at Casa!
I’ve heard of these potato burritos, but they were closed when we came through town. Bummed. Next time!
Great shots….the BW one of the summit is fantastic.
tough to tell from the photos, full spring conditions or still lots of winter up there?
thanks. not full spring conditions yet, lots of unconsolidated mushy snow…no corn. Hopefully in a couple of weeks things will turn towards those conditions.
