I was given another great opportunity to explore some new territory and meet more great people. A quick reflection from this winter: there are so many good people scattered all over the place. Not sure if it is the low-key nitch of backcountry skiing that produces so many quality, caring and motivated people, but everywhere I have gone this winter I come away meeting more individuals that I am inspired by. The two folks I happened to meet on this trip are Jonas Tarlen and Shane Fox, both own and share the responsibilities of operating the Three Sisters Backcountry Huts. This was an assignment for Backcountry Magazine with Tyler Cohen and Jeff Campbell so more info will be shared when the magazine is released. I highly recommend a visit to this place, Jonas and Shane have worked extremely hard over the years to get these yurts opened in such a pristine place.
