A few recent publications from the last few weeks…most of which are from online media publications.  It is really refreshing to start seeing online publications treating their material like a printed magazine.  Searching out higher quality content and paying for stories, photos and video.

The first one is from Skiing Interactive.  They did a great job with this multimedia, interactive feature on Greg Hill’s accomplishment of 2,000,000 feet.  I went up there on a whim about a month ago and they turned it around into an article within a couple of weeks.  Very refreshing to see a magazine have the ability to get stories out ASAP and not 6 months to a year later like most skiing, climbing or other adventure magazines.  The site still has it’s issues since it is so new, but they are heading in a good direction.  Check it out, lots of good information and more photos.  See it HERE.

Climbing Magazine.  Joshua Janes is belayed by Blake Herrington on The Warrior in Red Rocks, NV.  Picture was from my trip there this past May.

Lastly some coverage from ESPN and Powder on the Ski Salt Lake shootout that I participated in this past week.  Exciting news for which I owe a HUGE THANKS for is that I won the people’s choice award that took place last week.  The entire contest took place on Facebook and since I do not have a Facebook account I relied on emails and phone calls to friends or family in order to get the word out.  So thanks to all of you that casted a vote, I owe you ALL a drink whenever I see you next.  I know the voting process was long and confusing, so thanks.
