About a month ago I ventured to Colorado to explore and photograph the area of South Platte.  It is a vast area filled with numerous unique places where you can climb anything from Indian Creek style splitters, overhanging granite jugs to varied, thin sporty faces.   I was blown away by it’s variety, the lack of people and the quality of the rock.  Due to it’s quiet and un-hyped nature it felt very unlike most of Colorado.  I was kindly toured around by Blake Herrington and Scott Bennett, both of which later met me in Indian Creek.  Enjoy some of the shots.

  • These are fantastic. Love the POV on many of them, especially the high 5.

  • [...] An article in Climbing Magazine on the South Platte climbing area in Colorado went to print (written by Jason Haas).  His new guidebook should hit the shelves this fall.   I was excited to see they used one of my favorite images from my time down there as the opening double page spread (climber is Blake Herrington).  I highly recommend checking out the area, it is a very unique spot to climb in Colorado.  Below are the pages where images from my trip down there last October were used.  A photo essay of my time down there can be seen here.
